About Light Church

A house with the door wide open.

One church. Six satellite churches. Thousands of stories of Jesus reshaping ordinary lives in the most extraordinary city in the world.

What We Value

We exist to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.

Matthew 28:19–20 · Mark 12:30–31

At the heart of everything we do is a conviction that the Gospel is for everyone — and that the Church is God’s primary plan to reach them. We believe every person has a God-given purpose, and that purpose is fully discovered inside a community that loves Jesus together. This isn’t just what we do — it’s who we are.

Our Vision
To make Christ-like disciples who disciple others in loving God, loving people — by winning, baptizing, and teaching every generation in Olongapo, in the Philippines, and the world.
Matthew 28:19–20
Our Story

From a garage in Olongapo City to a movement.

Oct 2009

A garage. A vision. A beginning.

Light Church is born in a garage in Olongapo City. A small group gathers with one conviction — that God could build something significant in this city. The story starts here.

2010

Moving to Near East Tapinac.

The congregation outgrows the garage. Light Church moves to Near East Tapinac, Olongapo City, planting deeper roots in the community and expanding its reach across Zambales.

2012

A new home near SM Olongapo.

Growth demands more space. The church relocates near SM Downtown Olongapo City, welcoming more families, launching Life Groups, and building a community that goes beyond Sunday.

2020

AYC Building — our home today.

Light Church moves to its current home at #1670 3rd Flr., AYC Bldg., Rizal Ave., East Bajac-Bajac, Olongapo City. The same year, the world locks down — but the mission continues online and through community care.

Today

Six satellite churches. One Gospel. Every generation.

Today, Light Church gathers every Sunday across six satellite churches in Olongapo, Castillejos, Bangal Bataan, Subic, Bataan, and Angeles — and online with Filipinos around the world. The best chapters are still ahead.

What We Do

Four ways we build together.

The mission doesn’t just happen on Sunday. Here’s how Light Church moves through the week — gathering, growing, serving, and giving for the sake of every generation.

01

Gather

Every Sunday, across five services at the main church and every satellite church, we gather to worship, hear the Word of God, and be sent back out as light into every neighborhood.

02

Grow

Life Groups are where real discipleship happens — small gatherings through the week where Scripture goes deep, relationships go deep, and faith becomes life-on-life, not just Sunday-to-Sunday.

03

Serve

God wired every person with a gift for the Body. Serving at Light Church isn’t a program — it’s how you step into the role God designed you for, and how this church stays alive and moving.

04

Give

Generosity is an act of worship. Your giving funds Sunday services, Life Groups, satellite churches, and every outreach initiative that carries the Gospel further into Olongapo and the Philippines.

Statement of Faith

Old truths. Burning bright.

Light Church is a non-denominational, evangelical church. We are Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered, and Scripture-driven — this is what we believe, and we preach it without apology.

i.

Scripture

The Bible — Old and New Testaments — is the inspired, inerrant Word of God. It is the final authority for what we believe, how we live, and how we lead the Church.

ii.

God

There is one true God, eternally existing in three Persons — Father, Son, and Holy Spirit — equal in power, glory, and love.

iii.

Jesus Christ

Jesus is fully God and fully man, conceived by the Spirit, born of a virgin, crucified for our sins, bodily raised on the third day, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and coming again.

iv.

The Holy Spirit

The Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, sanctifies, and empowers every believer with gifts to serve the Church and to make Christ known in every sphere of life.

v.

Salvation

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone — a free gift to all who repent and believe. Nothing added. Nothing earned.

vi.

The Church

The Church is the body of Christ — a covenant family of baptized believers committed to worship, teaching, the table, generosity, and mission together.

vii.

The Return of Christ

Christ will return personally, visibly, and gloriously to judge the living and the dead and to bring His everlasting kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy.

viii.

The Mission

The Church is sent. We are called to make disciples of all nations until every people group has a chance to bow the knee to King Jesus.

How We Think

The convictions that guide everything we do.

01

The local church is the hope of the world.

We believe God’s primary plan for transforming cities and nations is the local church — not a program, not a platform, not a personality. This conviction shapes every decision we make.

02

People before programs.

We build for people, not systems. When a person’s need and a program’s preference collide, the person wins. Every time.

03

Every generation belongs in the room.

Light Church is for every age — children, youth, young adults, parents, and the elderly. When generations worship together, the Church looks the way Jesus intended it to.

04

Disciples make disciples.

The Great Commission isn’t a pastor’s job — it’s every believer’s call. We exist to turn attenders into disciples and disciples into disciple-makers who reach their own circle.

05

Excellence is an act of worship.

We bring our best because God gave us His best. Excellence isn’t perfectionism — it’s diligence, creativity, and craft offered with gratitude to the King who is worthy of it all.

06

We go to where the people are.

Light Church doesn’t wait for the city to walk through our doors. We plant satellite churches, launch Life Groups in every neighborhood, and show up — because that’s exactly what Jesus did.
